Lead Product Candidate
Target-In’s lead product candidate, TI103, is an
apofusion consisting of Interleukin 2 (IL2) as the targeting moiety, and Caspase 3 as the cell death inducing moiety. The Company has developed IL2-Capase3 (TI103), equivalent to a marketed product (denileukin diftitox) offering a fusion protein consisting of IL2 as the targeting moiety and a modified bacterial toxin as a cell killing moiety. Approved in the U.S., denileukin diftitox treats patients with cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL with substantial therapeutic effects, however, significant toxic side effects).
When measured against the competition, TI103 meets and exceeds efficacy measured, with preclinical tests resulting in a dramatically improved safety profile. Further preclinical studies in Graft vs. Host Disease (GvHD), Inflammatory Bowl Disease (IBD), Diabetes Type I and other indications, have shown outstanding results of efficacy, representing future prospects for TI103. Based on the approval of anti IL2R antibodies for the treatment of acute graft rejection, Target-In plans to develop TI103 for transplantations, specifically to treat acute transplant rejection.
